Vintage Moroccan Taznakht Rug No. M0145

A special piece sourced from a small village neighbouring Ouarzazate in Morocco. Featuring a natural cream background - a rare field colour in vintage Taznakht rugs - adorned with a sun-faded salmon border that brings structure, whilst the central motif anchors the design splitting the rug into two mirrored halves. The smaller motifs scattered across the field include lozenges, camels and Amazigh Fibulae, which all have talismanic properties and symbolise abundance, protection and good luck.

With its subtle colour palette and soft low pile, this piece is a great addition to any space in need of character and warmth.

Amazigh rugs are originally handmade by Amazigh women, who have learnt the skill of weaving from their mothers and grandmothers.
